ANNOUNCEMENT FOR BIDS:
2016-1 HOMES ARE POSSIBLE, INC.
IN-FILL HOUSE PROJECTS

FOUNDATIONS

Homes Are Possible, Inc.is seeking bids for construction of foundations and flat work at 10-12 sites:  It is anticipated that these will be poured concrete foundations, if using an alternate (block, ICF), please not that on your bid.

Scope of work shall include:

1). Cost for one (1) full basement (24’ x 50’) foundation, two egress window openings with wells, appropriate drain tile/sump pit. (1200 sq. ft. Governors House). This home, to be located 1719 Goodrich Ave SE,  will require City sidewalk.

2). Cost for one (1) full basement (24’x50’) foundation, two egress window openings with wells, appropriate drain tile/sump pit, attached 22×22 garage, driveway, apron and residential sidewalk Home to be located in the HAPI 3rd Central Subdivision (1200 sq. ft. Governors house).

3). Cost for one (1) full basement (24’x42’) foundation, two egress window openings with wells, appropriate drain tile/sump pit, attached 22×22 garage, driveway, apron and residential sidewalk. Home to be located in the HAPI 3rd Central Subdivision.

4). Cost for one (1) full basement (24’ x 42’) foundation, two egress window openings with wells, appropriate drain tile/sump pit. (1008 sq. ft. Governors House). This house may require BEAM POCKETS on one end. Home to be located 206 3rd Ave NE.
5). Cost for eight (8) concrete floored crawl space (24’ x 50’) foundations, appropriate drain tile/sump pit. (1200 sq. ft. Governors House). Homes to be located in the Northwood subdivision.

Additional Bid #1: Cost per square foot for City residential sidewalk (4 ft.) and private sidewalk (3 ft.).

Additional Bid #2: Cost for a 22 x 22 thickened edge garage slab.

Additional Bid #3: Cost to add an additional egress window opening and well.

*All foundations to be insulated on the exterior with a minimum of R-10 rigid foam insulation, extending 3” above the foundation. Insulation to be coated with appropriate materials to deter bird or insect damage.

BIDDERS SHOULD INCLUDE ALL THE ABOVE ITEMS. Contractors shall be required to complete this work before the fall of 2016. Contractor shall coordinate work with HAPI staff, excavation contractor and the proposed schedule of house delivery. House plans are available at the HAPI office.

BIDS MUST BE RECEIVED BY 5 PM ON FRIDAY, MARCH 5TH, 2016
