TWIN HOME PROJECT

Herreid Area Housing Development has completed many projects with the help of our CDFI loan fund.  Here is a Twin Home that made its addition to the Herreid in 2021.  This was made possible by the SDHDA and their Housing Opportunity Fund and also HAPI CDFI Loan Fund.

How does CDFI Funding work?

Homes Are Possible, Inc., is a private, independent non-profit Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) committed to empowering individuals, stabilizing families, and revitalizing neighborhoods through a variety of economic and social initiatives. Our mission is to facilitate very low, low and moderate income persons and families in securing and/or refurbishing quality, affordable housing.

Our Core Principles:

  • We believe everyone should have an equal opportunity for a quality home
  • If people have a chance for ownership they will perform and succeed
  • As individuals are helped, neighborhoods will be revitalized
  • Education about home ownership is the key to success and quality of neighborhoods is the job of the community

We are proud of the work we do and are fortunate to work with so many community partners throughout northeast South Dakota that are making a difference in their communities. Our goal moving forward is to eliminate financial barriers by helping individuals and communities in our area obtain an affordable quality home.
