  • Silent Second Mortgages of $20,000 or $30,000 are non-interest bearing loans available on homes sold by HAPI.

How to Proceed With Purchase

   1.  Income Qualifications - view the updated guidelines (maximums) below.

         Incomes are based on household GROSS income.

   2.  Purchase Price: Call for pricing

   5.  Income Verification

        Provide the three most current paystubs for every member of the household.

   6.  Homebuyer Education

        Homebuyer education is required to attend before closing on the property.

        Register here.  If you have not completed HBE, you must be registered.  Your

        offer will be considered incomplete if you have not completed or registered for

Due to the current production capacity, new house orders through the SDHDA Governors House Program will not be ready for delivery for 3+ years.  HAPI has continued its dedication to our community and decided to find an alternative route to affordable housing in Aberdeen.

What are In-Fill Lots?

In-Fill lots are building sites or lots, usually with a dilapidated home located outside our subdivision, but still in Aberdeen.  These are acquired through the sale, purchase or donation of the house and/or lot.  We demolish the existing home and clear the lot to then build a new home in its place.
